Jupiter is the East Bay's most popular beerhouse, serving locally handcrafted beers & ales and award-winning wood-fired pizzas. Well known to be a premiere alternative jazz venue, it's equally hailed for its heated outdoor beer garden and summertime music schedule. Exuding a European atmosphere from the heart of Berkeley, Jupiter's design was inspired by the oldest bar in Berlin. The two-story venue offers a second floor view from the front windows, where one can witness the comings and goings of life on Shattuck Avenue. Stroll to the back of Jupiter’s second floor and witness a “birds eye” view from a picture window overlooking a two-level courtyard. When sunlit, the lower patio seating is packed with lunch patrons enjoying the outdoor seating. After dusk, heat lamps keep the patio full, as the scene converts to a hip and eclectic nightlife, where hours are spent listening to great music. |
